Colombian Tatiana Calderon moves up to Formula 2 as she signs a contract with BWT Arden. She will partner GP3 Series Champion Anthoine Hubert.
Calderon is not new to the team as she already had a GP3 campaign with them in 2016. She scored two points, finishing 21st in the championship. In 2017 she moved to DAMS in GP3 and scored a total of seven points as she finished in 18th. Last year she again changed teams and went to Jenzer Motorsport. There she did a little better and collceted eleven points to finish 16th.
The 25-year old Colombian driver became a Development Driver for the Sauber F1 Team in 2017, before being promoted to Test Driver for Alfa Romeo Sauber last season. She She drove an F1 car first during a promotional filming day at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez on October 30th.
Calderon is excited about her new step: “It is a new challenge in my career and a step closer to my ultimate goal: Formula 1.”
