Bent Viscaal had a good season in Formula 2 last year, finishing on the podium twice for Trident. Despite that, this year he made the transition to ELMS, teaming up with Sophia Flörsch at Algarve Pro Racing. The highlight of his year – and possibly his career – was just recently: the 24hrs of Le Mans.
Nick Gilkes moved over from Canada where he was a Formula Ford racer, to compete in the GB3 Championship. And while the transition to slicks and wings isn’t an easy one by any means, the brother of former W Series driver Megan Gilkes has already bagged his first podium.
